De Beers Group has considerable ethical responsibility and professional accountability to meet the social demands and expectations of partners and consumers.  They believe in addressing sustainability issues honestly and openly, and are committed to ‘living up to diamonds’ in all aspects of their business.  Ms Zerouki will provide an overview of the De Beers Best Practice Principles programme developed to demonstrate the ethical and environmentally friendly process undertaken from the extraction to the sale of diamonds.  She will share her learnings and discuss the positive impact the programme has brought to the industry and challenges still faced today.
